Intermediate CND Analyst - Hunstville, AL
 Responsibilities include: Execute Computer Network Defense (CND) analysis tasks focusing on Insider Threats Support DoD client with assessing logs, network traffic, detecting anomalies, and providing detailed reporting and alert handling mitigation strategies Manage and administer network security requirements and modernization efforts Act as liaison with external organizations to maximize coordination and effectiveness of network monitoring and modernization efforts The ideal candidate must currently have the following certifications requirements by approved DoD Training Classes that can be verified: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GCIA, or GCIH Security+ CE, SSCP, SSNA-Security or GSEC IAM Level II Certification GSLC, CAP, CISM, CISSP, Associate or CASP Basic Qualifications: 10 years of IT experience with 2 years of dedicated CND analysis technology experience Ability to execute MDA CND analysis tasks Must meet DoD 8570 01-M CND-A requirements Must meet DoD 8570 01-M IAT-II requirements Knowledge of standard network protocols and ports Experience with data analysis, tools and techniques HS Diploma or GED Active Secret Clearance Preferred additional qualifications: Experience with reading and implementing results from vulnerability scanning tools, including Retina and Nessus Experience with developing alerts and setting policies with IDS/IPS/HIPS and associated management tools, including SNORT, Sourcefire, McAfee Hosted-Based Security Systems and Sentinel Experience with packet analysis and associated tools, such as Wireshark and Ethereal Experience with advanced telecommunications, including LAN, WAN, routers data communications, and connectivity Knowledge of incident handling procedures BA or BS degree in IT, CS, or related field MA or MS degree a plus Active TS/SCI clearance Desired skills: Ability to obtain appropriate tool/device computing environment (CE) and operating system (OS) certificates: Such as Windows OS and applicable CE Certificates: ArcSight, HBSS, ACAS, Palo Alto Firewall Log Analysis, Cisco Router Log Analysis, VMWare Virtualization and Cloud Computing Log Analysis, and/or FireEye Ability to research and present findings on newly discovered network threats and articulate the degree of risk to network security Excellent oral and written communication skills Proficient in MS office suite Proactive attitude towards tasks and situations Ability to work in a team Salary: Based on Experience and Qualifications Benefits: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance for employee, spouse and dependents 401(k) plan with company matching 10 Federal Holidays 120 hours (3 weeks) combined PTO/Sick leave Group Term Life, Short Term and Long Term Disability Insurances Other benefits available ** Relocation Assistance Available** Due to the delicate nature of this position, all applicants must be able to provide proof of the required certifications by approved DoD baseline training classes.
